Privalia (now Veepee) is an online fashion outlet based on the Flash Sales model, that is, short promotions lasting up to one week and accessible only to members. Privalia thus benefits from a large audience of loyal users.

How to sell on Privalia

There are 3 sales models on Privalia:

  • DIRECT SALES The brand/distributor sells products to the channel, which resells them to end customers (direct sales)
  • MARKETPLACE PURO the brand/distributor publishes products in the Privalia/Veepee catalog and sells to end customers
  • SPECIALIZED PARTNER the brand/distributor sells on Privalia through a Professional Seller who takes care of all stages of online sales (publishing, shipping, customer service, returns, etc.). In this case, the Partner negotiates access to Flash Sales with the Privalia team.

In order to sell on Privalia, it is necessary to obtain specific permission to publish the brand. Four requirements must also be met:

  1. Possess at least 300 SKUs (to be registered with API lists, CSV or an external provider).
  2. Ability to ship to Italy or Spain in less than 5 working days.
  3. Ensure customer service in the language of the country where the transaction takes place

What to sell on Privalia

Privalia began as a platform dedicated toclothing and accessories, later opening up to the beauty, home & design, technology and food categories. The brands offered by Privalia generally have a good level of awareness and a high average price point.

Privalia reported a 30 percent increase in sales of products for men in 2020. Top-selling items-accomplice to restrictions-include sportswear (sweatshirts, cycling and running products) and tech items such as Bluetooth speakers, headphones, and smartwatches.

According to Andrea Scarano (Country Manager Italy), Veepee’s Italian male customers represent 40 percent of the total to date.

In 2020, abetted by the pandemic, the Veepee group has seen a significant increase in the sale of items for the youngest children. Topping the list of top performers are tracksuits, sweatshirts, t-shirts. Sales of games and toys (+80% year-on-year), body care products (+100%), bedroom sets (+40%), and bedroom decorations (+50%) also increased on Privalia.
