A success story

As is increasingly the case, the Perletti brand has also decided to implement its online sales by attending two well-known marketplaces: Zalando and Yoox.
To do so, it decided to turn to Yocabè and implement a D2C (Direct-to-Consumer) multichannel sales strategy on Zalando and Yoox.

To achieve this goal, DOPPELGÄNGER established a strategic partnership with Yocabè and adopted a direct-to-consumer (D2C) sales strategy on the platform.

The Brand

Perletti is a made in Italy brand established in 1976, specializing in the production and distribution of umbrellas and rain accessories for adults and children. The brand is a spokesman for Italian style in the world with its creativity, technology and innovation. The design and stylish details make it an easily recognizable product.

A leader in the umbrella and accessories market in Europe for more than 45 years, Perletti has more than 6 million umbrellas sold each year and is present in more than 36 countries. Its headquarters are located in Telgate, in the province of Bergamo. Perletti is present in many countries around the world, including Italy, France, Spain, Germany, the United Kingdom and the United States.

The Direct-to-Consumer (D2C) choice.

The strategy

Online shopping has been a trend for many shoppers for a few years now thanks to the spread of the Internet and the convenience and convenience that e-commerce offers consumers.

So, having a presence in marketplaces has become an essential strategic action for brands, especially after the covid-19 pandemic.

Perletti then decided to expand its online presence by manning the platforms where users search for products the most, namely marketplaces.

For this reason, it turned to Yocabè, which initiated a multichannel D2C (Direct-to-Consumer) online sales strategy tailored for Perletti. Starting in 2021, Yocabè began selling Perletti products through its own technology and logistics facility, choosing Zalando and Yoox in particular.

2021 start of collaboration

Together with Yocabè Perletti comes to Zalando.co.uk, Zalando.de and Zalando.fr, developing the three sales channels.

Zalando.ch

In June 2022, Zalando.ch was opened, thanks to which Perletti's sales increased over 2021, with a growth rate of 275%. Thanks to Yocabé's support, the brand tripled sales year-on-year on this channel.

B2C Logistics

For logistics management, Perletti chose Yocabé's B2C logistics infrastructure, organized to meet all requirements dictated by marketplaces.

Customer Care Integration

Yocabé has taken over the management of customer service, billing, and returns in all countries where Perletti has decided to expand into their respective marketplaces.

Integration with Yoox

In late 2022, the Yoox channel, the world's largest online fashion and luxury retail platform, is also introduced for the brand.

The results of the partnership with YOCABÈ

By partnering with Yocabé, Perletti gained 6 important benefits:

  1. International expansion through activation of popular marketplaces such as Zalando and Yoox.
  2. 275% increase in online sales on Zalando: a strong contribution was made by Zalando.ch, which cubed 48% of all sales in 2022, followed by Italy (21%), Germany (17%), and France (10%). The Swiss channel was thus a key channel for increasing business.
  3. Full control over pricing: thanks to the D2C model, Perletti has greater control over pricing in all markets.
  4. Efficient Customer Service: the brand does not have to deal with customer inquiries, but Yocabé Customer Service does.
  5. Detailed and multilingual catalog: the Yocabé team creates product sheets optimized for each platform and language
  6. Single point of contact: Perletti only needs to interface with Yocabé, which handles all phases of online sales on the various marketplaces, from catalog creation to shipping.
